Why data security matters?

With the average data breach in the US costing businesses more than $9 million, it's no wonder why most businesses that are breached go out of business within 6 months. Add to these alarming statistics that data compromises increased 68% when compared to 2020 and it's easy to see why these topics are more important than ever.

The role of PCI DSS

WAAVE plays an important role in transaction security. Small business owners play an equally important role when it comes to keeping cardholder data secure. This is where the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards PCI DSS come into play.

The PCI DSS is a set of requirements designed to minimize fraud and related risk by protecting sensitive cardholder information that is processed, stored, and transmitted by merchants. Compliance with the PCI DSS is a requirement for all merchants set by the card associations.

Now that you have your own MID we will help you breeze through this process every year. WAAVE covers 99.9% of your PCI requirements but we still need you to go through the process of answering a few questions through this link: https:www.securitymetrics.com/portal/app/ngsm/pcidss/glp
